How I got here

I was on track to become an engineer. But before committing to that, I wanted to study something I actually loved first — and that's how I found massage therapy. It changed the direction of my life completely.

What keeps me interested, all these years later, is how much there still is to understand. How specific touch actually affects the body. Why something works on one person and not another. I'm still researching, still asking questions, still trying to understand this strange, complicated thing we live in — the human body.

I care about real results, not stretching out a treatment plan to keep someone coming back. If something's working, we build on it. If it's not, we change approach. I look at modern science seriously — but I still treat massage as an art, the same way a musician trusts their ear as much as the sheet music.

Teaching, which I started in 2014, deepened all of this. Explaining why a technique works — not just performing it — forced me to understand the work at a completely different level.

Not just mechanical

One thing that changed my thinking: for a long time, massage was explained almost entirely in mechanical terms — press here, break up a knot, release the tissue. That explanation isn't wrong, but after years of doing this work, I don't think it's the main story.

What modern research increasingly points to is that touch communicates with the nervous system — it changes how the brain interprets signals from the body, how much threat it perceives, how much tension it holds onto, how safe it feels letting go — and that shift in perception is often what actually reduces pain and tension, more than any change in the tissue itself.

We still don't fully understand this, but it's become clear to me that the real effect isn't purely mechanical — it's a conversation between body and nervous system, and that's where most of the change happens.

A modern understanding of pain

Pain is rarely explained by just one tight muscle or one bad posture. Chronic pain and long-lasting tension are often tied to stress, sleep, past injury, movement habits, and how the nervous system has learned to protect the body over time.

That doesn't mean the body is ignored — it means it's treated with a fuller picture. The goal is to work with the tissue, the nervous system, and the person as a whole, instead of forcing every problem into one old explanation.

This is also why many sessions include real nervous-system calming, not just muscle work — since stress, poor sleep, and chronic guarding all affect how the body holds and releases tension.

A wide range of tools, chosen for you

Treatment may include Swedish massage, deep tissue work, trigger point and neuromuscular techniques, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, assisted stretching, facial massage, jaw work, scalp massage, and nervous-system calming — combined differently depending on what you need.

Sometimes the work is deep and still relaxing. Sometimes it's gentle but has a deep effect. The goal isn't more pressure — it's the right work, for you, that day.

For chronic pain or a specific problem, the first visit may include some assessment and movement testing to understand the issue properly before building a treatment plan.

Two areas of focus

Therapeutic Body Massage

For chronic pain, muscle tension, restricted movement, stress, recovery, and better overall mobility.

Different treatments — same foundation: real manual skill, a modern understanding of pain, and work that's built around the person in front of me.

Therapeutic Facial Massage

For jaw tension, TMJ discomfort, facial tightness, headaches, puffiness, and stress held in the face.

A good fit for people who:

  • Want more than a standard, one-size-fits-all massage

  • Are dealing with chronic pain or long-standing tension

  • Want deep work without being forced through unnecessary pain

  • Are looking for a therapist with real clinical experience and a teaching background

  • Want access to a wide variety of techniques, combined and adapted to their body
